Merlin - 04/2022

On Wednesday 19th of April Merlin came to us only 3 weeks after losing our childhood dog of 13 years. The breeder brought Merlin to us claiming that her mum lived in Sandford and we aren’t far from there. Merlin was ‘travel sick’ and docile when he arrived. My mum paid the breeder £700 with the understanding that she would come back to check on him that evening and if he didn’t perk up she would take him back to be checked. After the breeder left my mum’s number was blocked, did not come back to see Merlin and we heard no more.

Merlin did not get better and through the night was extremely poorly. Merlin was taken to the vets in the morning, was so poorly he had to be taken into hospital and was tested for parvovirus. He was positive and the kindest thing was to let him go. This resulted in an approximately £1000 vet bill. He was microchipped however she left the breeders detail blank.

It was absolutely devastating after we had just lost our dog which left a massive hole in our family and has devastated my 8 year old brother, also that poor Merlin had to suffer in his final few days.
