Jasmin

BREEDER WARNING

Elizabeth Roberts, Malolgi Kennels, Llangynin, Carmarthen

This post has been in the works for a little while now, because I am not one for publicly stating something I am not confident about. After continuously following this breeder's work since we brought home Jasmine, I am now confident there is dishonesty, puppy farming, use of stooge dogs, as well as using children in order to fool the public.

I have dated each screenshot by when I took it, where you can see the short time which has passed between litters. Bear in mind, these started half way through the year, so there was potentially double this number of litters sold in 2020.

These will be sent across to RSPCA in due course to investigate further.

One thing I would like to urge people to consider is the state of the fur of adult dogs. A breeder should have exceptional standards for all the animals under their care, and to see so many shaven down dogs tells me their fur has not been properly groomed, becoming severely matted, then required a full close-shave. This is an indication of poor welfare at its core and something I think many others would miss or not take much notice of. Taking into account this individual has at least 6 staff members, care to groom all dogs should be one of their top priorities for their comfort and physical wellbeing.

Unfortunately, at the time of getting Jasmine, there was only one litter available and all dogs looked well-groomed, so my suspicions weren't aroused.

You can also note the fact the same room has been used to "show" the puppies for photos and videos. I was told at the age of 4 weeks, all puppies live in the home. With this number of litters and breeds available, I do not see how this could be physically possible and without seeing alternative spaces, I now believe this was a lie. All these litters are also at a minimum age of 10 weeks 6 days, whilst most are 11 weeks old - No photos are provided of puppies suckling or their nest box. I now know there are external buildings used for birthing.

The same adult female can be seen in the Cavapoochon adverts, whilst in some photos she has clear sagging teats and may be the mother of some, I believe she is a stooge dog who is tolerant of puppies used for images with these multiple litters.

The first photo is of Jasmine, sent on the day she came home. 2 months later, this breeder used the same image to promote her next litter with no suggestion the puppy was already sold or in fact from a previous litter. There have also been discrepancies between the photos of her "littermates" and the colour of their collar compared to the photos I have from the "same litter".

The last few screenshots show the importance of Googling a breeder and taking external reports seriously. I made a mistake in not doing so, and all I want to do now is help educate others on the importance of a thorough investigation into any breeder you consider. If you have concerns about a breeder you've purchased from, keep an eye on the platform they used for the sale and note down additional litters, particularly where different breeds are concerned.

Awareness is the best way we can help each other, reporting to authorities with evidence is the best way to stop the cycle 🚫
