Isa

I got my pup Isa in Feb 2020 thought it was legit turned out it was not she has canine hepatitis and got a haematoma from the vet giving her antibiotics she had a blood transfusion went completely blind and doesn’t have her sight back fully now it was touch and go thankfully after a week in hospital she pulled through but has left her with lasting effects she’s nearly 2 now and needs an op for hip dysplasia in both hips I wish I’d been more careful but I wouldn’t change her for the world. This is our story.

My pup Isa is from one of these places, 2 days into her being here we rushed her to the vet who suspected she had canine hepatitis. They gave her an antibiotics injection which caused a massive haematoma on her back. We rushed her to the vet hospital in Glasgow where they confirmed it was canine hepatitis both her eyes went white(blue eye) and it was touch and go. She was there over a week nearly didn't make it but she pulled through after being pumped full of blood, antibiotics and steroids. A year on she still has a bit of white on one of her eyes and she has hip dysplasia another side effect of where she came from. I thought I had got her from a reputable breeder but did not but I look at it if I hadn't got her, she would be dead. She has cost us thousands of pounds but I would do it all over again to save her ❤️❤️

We were lucky to get our first dog Winston nearly 5 years ago he was from gumtree. We travelled to Derby to get him, seen mum and dad all fantastic so when we decided on a new pup we googled Labrador pups for sale. We got a few sites come up, we looked in rescue centres but all the pups and dogs we liked were reserved. We saw the adds on gumtree Isa was the last one left so over text I asked about going to see her the man messaged back saying he would have to do a home check first, I thought wow that’s brilliant they want to check us out first to make sure we are suitable. I told him I had another dog so we knew how to care for a puppy etc he then said he would come down the next day around 9am for a home check then we could go see the pup (south side of Glasgow) I was all for it as it seemed professional. That’s when things changed he messaged an hour later asking if he could come earlier to miss the morning traffic.

I of course said yes and he said it would be about 830am. I was a bit apprehensive as I have kids and it was a busy time of day but he said it would only take 5 or 10 minutes, so again I said yes. He also added on if we took the last pup he would provide food, blanket from mum and a crate. The next morning I took my dog out at 630am as normal for his walk and got a phone call from this guy, “I’m nearly there will you be in? “, I was a bit annoyed as we arranged a later time, so I cut the walk short and rushed home.

No sooner had I got in but a big 4x4 car pulled up outside so I went out to meet him. He spoke to me but I could barely understand a word he said as he had a very strong southern Irish accent(kind of like brad pitt in snatch) he reached into the passenger side of the car lifted out a small box and showed me inside it and there was Isa tiny and scared looking (it was love at first sight ) so we took her in the house my son and daughter were just up so they fell in love instantly. He looked around said she will be happy here, you look like decent people. We tried to pay by card but it failed 3 times so I paid 500 cash for her.

I love the awareness you are spreading about puppy farms.
