Matilda

***PLEASE SHARE***

So it turns out that Matilda is in fact the product of a puppy farm.  She was shipped over from Ireland with false vaccination record.  Wasn’t flead or wormed, but she was microchipped.  My Mum bought her on Sunday 14th March from a home in Manchester. Today 18th March she’s now in the vets getting treated after testing positive for parvo!!!!

Mum is absolutely heartbroken, but wants to share this as she has 4 more brothers / sisters from same litter & they also could be positive with parvo.  Matilda is a Zuchon (cross bichon frise / shih tzu) she’s 9 weeks old.

My daughter is reporting to the police, RAPCA & trading standards as I type this post.

So please share far & wide in the hope we can reach her siblings & they can get treatment too if needed.

The breeder is off pets 4 homes and from Manchester. I have spoken to the sellers son and somebody on pets 4 homes.  I have photos of the sellers son too.

The Vet said next 5-7 days are critical but we know this.  The vaccination card is from Ireland my mum phoned them on Tuesday to ask if they had vaccinated her & the vets said they hadn’t had any pups in on that date.

The police weren’t interested said it’s nothing to do with them

My daughter is phoning the others tomorrow

We also have our own business so between this, we’ve had to get things posted out to customers in time for birthdays

Don’t worry though, we’ll try our best to find out what we can xx

Mum spoke with the vets, found them on google & Facebook

But I’m thinking maybe the vets are in on it too as they deny ever seeing these pups

I’ll send you screen shots of my daughter’s conversation with said breeder this afternoon. He’s back tracked in all messages. I think the vets are in on this too.

Update on Matilda

Matilda has been very vocal most of the night lol the vet said she didn’t seem interested in her food so one of the nurses gave her chicken which she devoured 🙈🙈🙈

She still has the runs and a little blood yak !!!

The next 48 hours are the bit we need to keep our fingers crossed because they can drop really quickly even when there as bright at Matilda

So here’s hoping 🤞🏻

That was our update this morning after mum spoke to the vet. She’s a little better, still worried (obviously).

Like you said he’s blocked my daughter now, but we’ve actually found them on Facebook, their real names & they’re originally from Longford in Ireland where the vets is.

Update

I hope I’m not waking anyone up but I need to let you know that Matilda has gone down hill being sick and not eating

They are talking about tubing her but she will have two bald patches if she pulls through because they normally stitch it in but can’t because she’s awake so they glue it on. Please keep everything crossed 🤞🏻 I’ll keep you updated.

Update

The vet has just rung, she is still very poorly. They have managed to source a vaccine that helps the immune system but it is not a cure. So it’s now down to Matilda to fight they are sort of force feeding her by that I mean putting food into her mouth bless her but she’s managing to keep it down as long as she does that they don’t need to tube her as it’s not a nice thing to do.

Everything crossed.

Next 24/48 hours are crucial.

New update from Mum.

Just rung the vets

Matilda is still holding her own she is a bit happier than last night

not being sick or runny pooh’s they have added something else to her drip to try and improve her eating as they are still hand feeding her. I’m ringing again at 9:00 pm so we can tell if there is improvement or otherwise with this other stuff they have added. Her glucose levels are better than last night too and I think that’s one of the things they put in xxx

From mum this morning

Update

Just rung and spoken to the vet. Her words were she is a very cheeky puppy 🐶 She chewed through her fluid line . (oh god !!!) So they are replacing it obviously. She is also getting more vocal again she is eating, no sloppy Pooh so fingers crossed she on the up 🤞🏻 I said I would ring again at lunch time so that there is a good gap to notice improvement or the other.

Dinner time update

Rung the vets, she’s still brighter than yesterday they haven’t managed to get the catheter back in yet they have had lots of emergency’s and Matilda was very fussy when they tried so there going to do it this afternoon.

SHES HAD A PROPER POOH!!!! 🙌🏽

They said they think she’s getting board lol and try’s to escape when they bring her out to feed her 🤣🤣🤣

I’m ringing again at 6 ish.

The vets in question deny they’ve seen these pups, mum spoke with them on the phone. They said they’d do their own investigation but we think the vet maybe taking back handers so to speak. We are trying our best too to find all we can. We’ve found the real people on Facebook as in their profiles & they’re from the travelling community. Based in Longford & Manchester (Salford).

New update

The vets just rung and shit me up lol she didn’t know I was going to ring ha ha ha. She is still doing well had another normal Pooh and is eating on her own 🙌🏽 They have tried again to put the line in but she is getting stressed so the vet said they don’t want to use her as a pin cushion etc and seems to be doing ok without. They are going to keep an eye on her and if things change they will put it back in. She is due one more dose of that stuff in the morning so they will take it from there. I’m ringing again at 10:00 pm.

Matilda has been discharged from the vets 🎉🎉🎉

She looks like nothing has even been wrong, very waggy tail & running around playing. To say she very nearly died from parvo, this is amazing & shows what a little fighter she is 💕💕💕 Just because she is home & better doesn’t mean we’ve given up trying to get justice for her either. Also want to thank all of you for sharing her post & for all your kind words over the past few days & thank you to Justice for Reggie for all their continued help & support. As you can imagine mum has a very big smile on her face right now 🐾🐾🐾

Matilda is doing brilliantly now & Doris was discharged from dog hospital this morning after contracting parvovirus even though she has had her vaccinations. Last night one of the other puppy owners got in touch & her pup also nearly died as a result but wasn’t tested for parvo just treated for a sickness bug. Now seeing our post about Matilda she’s phoning her vets tomorrow & requesting a test along with vaccinations from the start again.
